according to a Movie reference pictured and posted to Twitter, Game of Love was filmed in Vancouver and Maple Ridge in late November, specifically locations such as: Jim’s pizza, Chameleon Cafeand the ACT Theater.
Jim’s Pizza usually posts pictures on Facebook to announce the closure of their restaurant for filming reasons, but no announcement was made in November.
Chameleon Café also didn’t post anything on social media, but they often share photos of the food they serve.
What’s Filming was also shared that filming took place in the Maple Ridge, Langley, Abbotsford and Delta areas, all cities near Vancouver.
Although some people were excited about the possibility of the film being about game developers (which Hallmark previously did), this film is actually about board games. It’s a unique twist.
Both stars went live on Facebook talk about their new film and answer questions.
They also talk about the five love languages test, and Sustad laughed as she admitted she had taken the test.
“I was time. I like the intended time. I like a lot of gifts, too, Brooks,” she said jokingly.
Darnell confessed that he found the concept of the five love languages bizarre.
“The categories of love language … That’s bizarre to me,” he said. “See, they don’t say anything about giving! There are no options to give.”
Sustad said this is part of the “service” option. You can follow their full discussion in the live Facebook interview.

Hallmark’s summary is:
Audrey Watson (Sustad) is hired to create a new board game about romantic love. To ensure things move faster than normal, she works with outside marketing consultant Matthew Reynolds (Darnell). The only problem is that these two have completely different ways of working and views on love. Their attempts to work together end in disaster because the game in no way reflects what it’s like to meet and fall in love with the right person. They soon realize that they are influenced by their own mistakes in the dating world; While Audrey is too independent, Matt is busy looking good and making the right impression. To build a successful board game that captures the art of romance, both must figure out what they’re doing wrong and start working together as a team. Unexpectedly, mutual aid creates a deeper attraction. When the game could be cancelled, Audrey gets cold feet and pushes Matthew away. In order to hold on to everything that is important to her, she must face her fears and find the right way to win the game of love.
