Dancing With the Stars fans are excited for season 31 of the ballroom competition show, including the announcement of which professional dancers will be returning.
Each season, the cast is announced just weeks before the show begins, meaning fans will have to wait until the fall to be sure which of their favorite and least favorite dancers will become partners for the season.
Dancing With the Stars has not yet been renewed for season 31. If renewed, the show will return sometime in mid-September 2022.
Fans believe Daniella Karagach will return
In a Reddit thread, one viewer asked others who they think will return, “Based on recent seasons/tours? For a cast of 14 professionals.”
The original post said they believed the returning women would be “Daniella.” [Karagach]jenna [Johnson]Emma [Slater]Lindsey [Arnold]witney [Carson]Britt [Stewart] and Coco [Iwasaki]’ and for the men, ‘Alan [Bersten]pascha [Pashkov]Sascha [Farber]gleb [Savchenko]brandon [Armstrong]keo [Motsepe] and Ezra [Sosa].”
Some fans think Sharna Burgess won’t be returning for the upcoming season because she is currently pregnant and expecting on July 4th. said a fan That shouldn’t rule her out, though, because Peta Murgatroyd had a similar timeline after giving birth to their son.
Most commentary came from Daniella Karagach, the reigning Mirrorball champion who returned for Season 31.
Some fans don’t think Lindsay Arnold will return. She has two sisters who are currently pregnant and will have newborns around the same time the show airs.
“I could also see that Lindsay might not come back, either if she’s pregnant or trying, or if she’s just finding the back and forth with a toddler too hard.” one person wrote. “I walk back and forth on Peta [Murgatroyd] When she got back her post seemed so final but now she’s been posting a lot of dancing lately.
Another person replied, “I can see Lindsay sitting out this season as two of her sisters will have newborns by then and I can’t imagine she would want to be away from her family that much, plus she will have a lot less family support for Sage. She and Witney might also try to expand their families.”
Some think the lineup will be the same
Some fans believe that the line-up will not change significantly from the previous season. For season 30, the lineup included Val Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Sasha Farber, Alan Bersten, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Cheryl Burke, Sharna Burgess, Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, Britt Stewart and Emma Dachdecker .
“I think the line-up will probably stay the same for the most part, especially if they’re planning a 2022 tour.” one person wrote. “For the boys, Sasha, Alan, Artem, Val [Chmerkovskiy], Pascha. Sasha is always doubtful if they can’t put him together by size and I don’t think he takes priority over some others. Brandon Armstrong[ I think could maybe get sidelined.”
They added, “For the girls, Emma, Jenna, Daniella, Britt, maybe Sofia [Ghavami]. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lindsay or Witney don’t come back next season, but if they want to return, they probably will be there.”
There are also concerns that Karagach will not return to the show immediately given her current broken ankle, although she will not require surgery and is expected to recover quickly.
Not many fans have listed Cheryl Burke as the dancer who they believe will return as a dancer for the show’s 31st season. Burke has mentioned several times that she hopes to retire from ballroom dancing and would rather have another role on “Dancing With the Stars” or “Strictly Come Dancing.”
Many think the more traditional troupe will return for the upcoming season, meaning professional dancers who don’t have a celebrity partner can still play a role in group dances during live episodes.
