Soccer
All Premier League and English Football League games this weekend have been postponed out of respect.
All matches in the Women’s Super League, Women’s Championship and Women’s FA Cup have also been postponed this weekend.
The Scottish Football Association announced the postponement of all professional games over the weekend, while all football in Northern Ireland is also suspended.
cricket
Friday’s game between England and South Africa at the Oval did not take place along with all scheduled Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy games.
rugby union
Northampton announced the postponement of their Premiership Rugby Cup clash against Saracens which is scheduled for Thursday night.
Scottish Rugby Union has postponed all competitive domestic matches this weekend out of respect and Sunday’s women’s international summer test between Scotland and Spain is also cancelled.
rugby league
The RFL has postponed Friday’s Betfred Championship game between the Sheffield Eagles and the Dewsbury Rams, but the first elimination game of the Super League between the Catalans Dragons and Leeds will go ahead as it takes place in Perpignan, France.
The PA news agency understands Saturday’s Super League play-off between Huddersfield and Salford will go ahead as planned.

At the BMW PGA Championship, play was suspended for a day on Thursday and there was no play on Friday.
formula 1
Sunday’s Italian Grand Prix is going ahead as planned, with a minute’s silence scheduled before practice on Friday and another expected before the race.
horse race
The final day of the Cazoo St Leger festival in Doncaster has been pushed back to Sunday after Britain’s horse racing authority announced the cancellation of Saturday’s games as “an ongoing show of respect”.
The race at Southwell and Chelmsford on Thursday evening was abandoned. The BHA also announced that meetings scheduled for Friday – including the third day of the St Leger meeting in Doncaster – have been cancelled.
athletics
Both the Great North Run and Parkrun will continue as scheduled this weekend. Organizers canceled Friday’s 5K sister race to the Great North Run, but Sunday’s half marathon will go ahead.
To go biking
Friday’s stage of the Tour of Britain was promptly canceled and later on Thursday night the remainder of the Tour, which was due to end on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, was canceled entirely.

The weigh-in for Saturday’s scheduled fight between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields will take place behind closed doors.
