White Lotus star Meghann Fahy confirms “something sexual” happened between Daphne and Ethan

Meghann Fahy believes “something sexual” happened between her character Daphne and Will Sharpe’s character Ethan in the high-octane finale of The White Lotus season 2.

Speaking to Variety earlier this week, Fahy shared her take on what actually went on between her favorite trophy wife and Sharpe’s conflicted tech entrepreneur when they ventured into a mysterious cave.

But the 32-year-old star has yet to open up about her alleged real-life affairs as she was recently linked to co-star Leo Woodall, 26.

“I definitely think something happened,” Fahy told Variety. “I don’t know what exactly happened, but I know it was something.”

Fans of the HBO hit anthology series have concocted various theories about the characters since Fahys Daphne Sharpes lured Ethan from her crowded beach to a private rendezvous in a cave.

Meghann, who has become famous for her outstanding performance as Daphne, went on to talk about what she thinks motivated Daphne to seduce Ethan during his marital crisis.

“Honestly,” she told Variety, “I think that’s when Daphne saw this broken man and wanted to do something to make him feel stronger in her own weird way.” I really don’t think she led him there to get back at Cameron or Harper.”

“I don’t know if I can pinpoint exactly what happened,” repeated Fahy, “but I definitely think it’s something sexual.”

As well as sharing her views on a possible date between Daphne and Ethan, Meghann also opened up about the betrayal of Ethan’s wife Harper (Aubrey Plaza), who was fooling around with Daphne’s husband Cameron (Theo James).

“Someone said something really interesting the other day,” Fahy told Variety, “Do you think some of Daphne’s sadness stems from her betrayal by Harper?”

“Absolutely,” she explained. ‘I find [Daphne’s] I’ve been through this with Cameron who knows how many times, but I think she genuinely thought maybe Harper was her friend or wanted her to be.

But when it comes to her love life outside of The White Lotus, the breakout star has remained a mum so far.

Fan speculation recently ran into high gear as online investigators delved into the Instagram comments she and her co-star Leo Woodall made, uncovering some flirty exchanges.

Rumors first spread when a tipster from gossip site DeuxMoi claimed the co-stars were an item, prompting fans to scour their Instagram accounts looking for leads.

That’s when back-and-forth comments between Fahy and Woodall – who played sexy rent-boy henchman Jack – came to light, sparking rumors that a romance had blossomed between the hard-partying stars of the HBO hit.

Meghann and Leo’s alleged relationship was one of the few things not predicted by the random murals in the megahit show’s opening credits.
