World-class gravel cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson tragically passed away on May 11, 2022 Austin Police Department has confirmed.
Her tragic death has devastated cycling enthusiasts and fans around the world. She was in Texas for a competitive race on May 11th.

Who Was Anna Moriah Wilson?
Moriah “Mo” Wilson was 25 years old at the time of her death. She lives in California and was considered one of the best gravel and mountain cyclists in America.
She grew up in East Burke, Vermont and competed in ski racing in her youth Velo News. She also played soccer while at Dartmouth College. Moriah had an engineering degree.
She had won multiple races and made a name for herself as a dominant gravel and mountain bike racer.
Before her death, she reportedly had a summer of racing planned, including a trip to East Africa for the Migration Gravel Race and Evolution Gravel.
Only recently did she quit her job as a demand planner to fully concentrate on racing.

Family asks for privacy
Moriah’s family has asked not to be contacted for interviews or comments throughout May. They are planning a “celebration of life” in June.
“We thank everyone for their expressions of love and support for us during this difficult time. While the tragic loss of Moriah is unfathomable, we want everyone to join us in celebrating her life, accomplishments, and love for others‘ was her explanation.
“Always working tirelessly to achieve her goals, we knew she was pursuing what she loved. We will miss her dearly and know everyone mourns her loss with us.”

How to donate to the family’s GoFundMe
Moriah’s family has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for her funeral and memorials and to support community organizations.
You can donate to the GoFundMe page here.
The description on the page reads, “In her memory, we are raising money to fund community organizations that help youth find confidence, strength and joy through biking, skiing and other activities Moriah was passionate about.”
At the time of writing, $17,015 has been raised. The goal is set at $100,000.
