Why is Pixel Piece closed? (February 2023) – Roblox Pixel Piece will be closed for maintenance

On February 6th, 2023 at approximately 3:00pm CT, it was announced by WorldUp Studios that the popular Roblox experience Pixel Piece would be closed for maintenance for the foreseeable future. During this planned downtime, the Pixel Piece developers plan to fix numerous bugs and technical difficulties discovered since the experience’s release and bring it back “better than ever.” When Pixel Piece reopens, players will receive a portion of the bonus XP for free, courtesy of WorldUp Studios, and all their progress to date will remain unaffected.

In a post on the official WorldUp Studios Discord server, the following statement was made:

Hello everyone,

We, the developers, would like to sincerely apologize for the recent bug issues that have plagued our game. We understand that many of you have lost levels and been frustrated with the technical issues. We take full responsibility for these issues and want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to fix them.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we are temporarily shutting down the game to fix a few things and fix any current issues. Our testers will work diligently to test all bugs and ensure that the game offers a smooth and bug-free experience when it reopens. We know that this will be inconvenient for many of you, but it is necessary to improve the overall experience of the game. Our top priority is to ensure that everyone can enjoy a smooth and error-free gaming experience.

We would also like to inform you that as soon as the game comes back, we will start restoring gamepasses, development products, levels, fruits and many more things. We know how important your progress in the game is and want to make sure you can pick up where you left off. Additionally, everyone will be rewarded with a week of double EXP as well as various other rewards to show our gratitude for your patience and understanding.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this closure may cause and hope you can understand the necessity of this decision. We strive to improve the game and provide a better experience for all of our players. We will be sure to keep you informed of our progress.

Despite what many hectic gamers have theorized on Twitter, Discord, and Roblox, Pixel Piece is not close forever. Once the necessary fixes have been made to the experience and tested by qualified team members, it will be open to the public again.
