Hallmark star Jodie Sweetin took part in the CBS reality show Beyond the Edge. She recently revealed that a competition was so grueling that she could actually feel her body shutting down during the challenge.

“I started crying,” she said of the challenge

Sweetin said that her third adventure on “Beyond the Edge” was a challenge that was the toughest thing she’s ever done physically. Screenrant reported.

She said: “This swim will live on my mind forever. My body has switched off. When I started crying and thought, ‘I’m trying,’ it was because my brain wasn’t making my body move anymore…”

She said she took off her fins while swimming because she thought they were too heavy, but that only made the swim more difficult. She said Water Safety was so concerned that they tried to save her, but she yelled at them not to touch her.

“I got it!” She remembered yelling at the security team.

In an interview with ParadeSweetin said she mentally tried to move forward while swimming, but her body was wrecked.

“It was probably the hardest physical thing I’ve ever had to do,” she recalled. “And then there’s the mental challenge of getting over that and saying, ‘I’m not giving up. No matter how long it takes, no matter what I do, I’ll float on my back if I have to.’ It changed me.”

Sweetin told E! news that she had already run “at full speed through the woods” for a mile and a half before having to swim to shore, making it even more difficult.

Sweetin told Parade that the challenges on TV don’t look nearly as tough as they do in real life.

“People probably think I’m a baby,” she said. “You have no idea how hard it was.”

She added that they really didn’t get much sleep because they had to sleep on bamboo and woke up with bruises.

Sweetin suffered a serious ankle injury in 2017, which at times hampered her performance on the show, Screenrant reported. She still has metal plates in her ankle to this day.

“I had to listen to my body and certain things,” she told Parade. “I didn’t want to break my ankle again or break my foot somewhere else because I remember not being there for months… So that was always in the back of my mind.”

She lives in the jungle of Panama

According to a CBS press release, “Beyond the Edge … is about nine celebrities who trade their worlds of luxury to live in the dangerous jungles of Panama, where they face epic adventures and endure the most brutal of conditions while striving to get far.” stepping outside of their comfort zone… For two weeks, the celebrities will see if they have the guts to brave torrential downpours, scorching heat and deadly wildlife while living in the exotic jungles of Panama. There will be no judges or eliminations – instead, each celebrity must rely on their inner strength, physical ability, courage and trust in their teammates to survive in the wild.”

Sweetin competed alongside Lauren Alaina (from “Roadhouse Romance”) and Ray Lewis, Craig Morgan, Metta World Peace, Paulina Porizkova, Mike Singletary, Colton Underwood and Eboni K. Williams.

In an interview with Parade, Sweetin said, one of the things that inspired her to take part in the show was that it was filming during COVID and she really wanted to get out and do something. She also liked the idea of doing something she had never done before.

“I’ve tried to say yes to things that have incredible possibilities,” she said.

Sweetin raises money for Girls Inc. by participating in the show.

Sweetin is perhaps best known for her roles in “Full House” and “Fuller House.” She has also acted in television films, including several Hallmark films. Some of Sweetin’s Hallmark films were Entertaining Christmas, Merry & Bright, Love Under the Rainbow, and Finding Santa.
