WWE 2K23 reveals more details on John Cena’s Never Give Up Showcase

2K Sports and Visual Concepts have provided even more details on their signature Showcase game mode.

Similar to WWE 2K15, players can experience John Cena’s 20-year career over the course of multiple matches. Unlike previous entries, however, players will be able to experience this year’s mode, titled Never Give Up, in which they play as some of his biggest rivals, including Batista, Brock Lesnar, and The Rock.

While Showcase mode can be traced back to WWE ’13, 2K15 marks the first time the franchise has introduced it through the lens of specific Superstars rather than moments. In WWE 2K22, Rey Mysterio took the spotlight.

But just because you won’t play through that career as Cena himself doesn’t mean the “Peacemaker” star won’t be involved.

• John Cena’s heaviest casualties: From SmackDown 2002 to SummerSlam 2021, you’ll take control of several notable opponents.
• Presentation of sports documentaries: Cena will be on hand to guide you through these career ups and downs, touching on the meaning of each game along the way.
• New gameplay additions: Each match offers different sets and strategies to keep the showcase fresh.
• Each era of John Cena: From Doctor of Thuganomics to leader of Cenation, you’ll face off against all forms of the 16-time world champion.
• Slingshot Technology: New technology allows the game to transition from in-ring gameplay to historical live-action footage.
