Xavien Howard sued for transmitting herpes to women

Dolphin’s cornerback Xavien Howard is being sued for allegedly transmitting a terminal illness through sex and asking her, “What can I do now?” according to the lawsuit.

According to court records The Miami Herald, Jane Doe met the football player in 2018 before dating him. She says Howard told her at the time he didn’t have any STDs and provided her proof by sharing his negative test results.

However, in 2019, she said in the lawsuit that Howard found out he contracted genital herpes. He allegedly hid the news and continued to have unprotected sex with her.

“With knowledge of his terminal sexually transmitted disease and without disclosure, defendant Howard continued to have unprotected sex with plaintiff without informing her,” the lawsuit reads.

Jane Doe tested positive for herpes and Howard apologized, she says

The woman tested positive for genital herpes in 2021 and says in the lawsuit Howard was the only person who could have given it to her. She said Howard eventually apologized after initially denying he had the condition.

“Maaaan, I was told I’m sorry I gave it to you,” Howard told her, according to the lawsuit. “But what can I do now? The damage is done. You keep bringing it up like it’s constantly changing. Like your ass can’t go on.”

Jane Doe is reportedly seeking more than $30,000 in damages and has requested that the trial be heard by a jury.
