Xfinity Series drivers solved major heat issues at the Nashville Superspeedway.

NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers attended the Nashville Superspeedway on June 25 in a heat-index race of 100. Weather played a big part as riders faced vomiting, swollen feet. blistering and overall heat-related problems.

Noah Gragson, who drives a JR Motorsports No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro, provided an early look at heat-related problems. He carried the Xfinity camera, which showed that the temperature in the car was available around 104 during the first laps. This temperature rose to 135 during the race, which caused many problems in the final leg.

“Wow… hot a day**! Grow yourself twice with about 50 people to get into the racing car,” Gragson tweeted after placing 13th overall. “135°+ in the car. No bueno. Gambling strategically and without practice. Proud of our @JRMotorsports team. Congratulations @J_Allgaier on the dub. “

Gragson had a strong car in the race at the Nashville Superspeedway, and he ran in the top 10 throughout the day. However, he stayed off the track at Lap 119 after a cautious one while the other racers headed to the tunnel to get fresh tires and fuel. This strategy didn’t work as Gragson had to go to the pit with 20 laps remaining in the Cup Series race, leaving him unable to contend for a top five spot.

Need more attention AJ Allmendinger after the race

Gragson is not the only driver that solves some major problems. Natalie Decker and Ryan Vargas both had to go to the yard care center with four other riders after the Xfinity Series race. In particular, Decker’s team revealed that her cool shirt stopped working after 10 laps.

Allmendinger were among those who dealt with issues early in the race. He revealed over the radio that the floor of his car was extremely hot. Allmendinger says he’ll need some kicks for his legs after the race is over. This comment caught the attention of the broadcast crew, who responded by explaining that the NASCAR veteran would likely deal with some blistered feet.

This could pose a problem for the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro number 16 whose weekend getaway isn’t over yet. The Allmendinger still has to finish the Ally 400 Cup Series race. He will have to deal with the heat for 300 rounds after fighting 188 on June 25.

The heat leads to an ongoing incident

One of Gragson’s teammates also dealt with some issues during his first exposure to an extremely hot race car. It was a learning experience for Mayer, especially after the temperature played a role in a road incident with Ty Gibbs.

The moment occurred on lap 147 of 188 when Mayer passed directly behind Gibbs and lost 54th. The car started to spin, but Mayer’s No. 1 made contact with the left front fender and darted straight back. The race was still green, but Gibbs lost two points before eventually recovering to finish in the top five.

Mayer met with many members of the media after the race was over, and he apologized for the communication. He also explained that he had forgotten how air planes work due to the complete loss of air from the heat.

Along with forgetting how aero works, Mayer tackles another heat-related problem. His cooler started blowing hot air about 20 laps into the race. This created another obstacle to overcome and forced Mayer to demand ice and water at each pit stop.
