xQc warns ‘content purists’ are killing Twitch by guarding streaming stars

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has issued a warning to Twitch amid the ongoing TV meta drama —a bunch of “content purists” who tell stars what they should and shouldn’t be streaming slowly but surely killing the site.

The reigning king of Twitch has warned against bowing to “content purists” and fans who believe there is only one way to stream that will eventually kill off the popular site.

xQc has become the top poster boy for Twitch’s controversial TV blockbuster, with the star regularly streaming Master Chef hours and animes like Hunter x Hunter for more than 70 thousand viewers. His broadcasts have landed him in the sights of angry fans who believe he should be stopped.

Lengyel, on the other hand, strongly disagrees.

According to xQc, streamers should be able to broadcast what they want on their channels and shouldn’t bow to the “content purists” guarding the site.

The French-Canadian star has found himself at the center of Twitch’s TV show meta.

xQc turned the jets on his Twitch dissidents in one stream January 11. whole.

“I warned you,” he said, “content purists try to control everything.”

“What did I say, a year ago, two years ago. These people label content as ‘Not so’ and think they have a right to say what good content is. Like a bunch of b*tches. The eccentrics. Content purists. It still has content. We’re still streaming the content people want to see here. Who for sh * t! ”

“What I stream is what people want. If people want to see it, they will. That’s it! How bad would it be if that’s what people want and people are getting? “

Lengyel points to his massive Twitch following and the number of concurrent viewers he’s amassing in each stream, and declares that he “has to do something right.”

Over the past 12 months, the 26-year-old star has certainly found the perfect recipe for Twitch as well. He flew up straight to the top on the website, just press 9.8 million followers on purple branded platform, and is within touching distance of 100k subscribers in the first month of the year.

“It’s about doing it all,” he said. “It really is like that. Streaming, popularity, it’s a little bit of reaction here, a bit of gaming there, a bit of IRL streaming there. Some new content is included. Twitch is about volume. You can do it all, really.

“You want an example?” French-Canadian famous streamer said. “Look no further, right here — me! I can do it all. Why do people say it’s wrong? ”
