York County Animal Hospital is moving to a new facility

HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) — Paws Animal Hospital recently relocated to a new facility in York County.

2010 by Dr. Jessica Friedland founded Paws Veterinary Clinic was originally located at 1053 Baltimore St. in York. According to Paws Animal Hospital office manager Jessi Ortner, after years of renting this former location, the hospital decided it was time to buy a home of its own.

Paws Animal Hospital is now located at 1263 Hoff Road in York. According to Ortner, this facility was formerly used as a dog kennel. After purchasing these new premises about a year ago, it took around 4-6 months of internal renovations to transform the new premises into the veterinary clinic it is today.

According to their website, Paws Animal Hospital offers a plethora of Animal Care Servicessuch as:

• Wellness exams
• vaccinations
• emergencies
• blood work
• X-rays
• surgery
• reproductive services

In addition to these usual veterinary services, Paws Animal Hospital also offers a unique service that they refer to “Balanced Paws”. According to their website, “Paws in Balance” is the practice of animal acupuncture, which can have many beneficial physiological effects for animals, such as relieving pain, promoting tissue healing, anti-inflammatory effects, and more.

Paws Animal Hospital previously held its official opening of the new location on October 23, 2022. According to Ortner, Paws Animal Hospital cares for thousands of animals each year.

• Monday & Tuesday // 8 a.m. to 7 p.m
• Wednesday – Friday // 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m
